‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Star Moves into Direction

adminAbout Show, Celebrity Gossip, Reviews

All Cheryl Hines’s fans get ready to see your favorite actress take up a new role in life, that of working behind the cameras as she dons the cap of a director. Cheryl embraced the challenges of being at the helm, while directing her first venture, which is the film ‘Serious Moonlight’. The movie is a dark comedy, and it premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival-2009. Meg Ryan and Timothy Hutton appear in staring roles, portraying a highly dysfunctional married couple in the film.

There is really no doubt about the fact that Cheryl Hines has been a marvelous actress for many years. We have loved her in all the seven seasons of “Curb Your Enthusiasm“. She won the hearts of fans as well as critics with her quick wit as well as her strong improvisational skills. She earned much appreciation for her portrayal of the role of Cheryl David, in spite of the fact that the show was loosely scripted.

As a fan of this very talented actress, I am proud that she has started pursuing one of her other talents. She is a hard worker, and I am sure that she will make her mark in the field of direction also. I wish that she achieves the same heights of success that she has been able to gain as an actress.

Cheryl has been emotionally involved with “Serious Moonlight” because the script of this film was written by Adrienne Shelly, who was murdered in her apartment three years ago. Adrienne was a co-star and a good friend of Cheryl Hines. Remembering Adrienne, Cheryl said “I think she’d [Shelly] be very grateful to have her film premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival”. She further added, “She was a New Yorker and she loved this city. I think it would mean a lot to her.”

Commenting on the experiences she had while directing “Serious Moonlight”, Cheryl told CBSnews.com, “It was kind of a life changing experience”. She went on to say, ‘”I never worked so hard and so intensely on something like that before”.

Cheryl attended the Tribeca Film Festival, along with her Curb Your Enthusiasm’ co-star Larry David, who was there to promote “Whatever Works“, in which he appears in a starring role.
