Bob Einstein was born on 20 November 1942 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is the son of Harry Parke and Thelma Leeds. He is elder to his brother-Albert Brooks, an actor and younger to two brother’s -Cliff Einstein, an advertising executive and late Charles Einstein, a writer.
He wrote for ‘The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour’ as a teammate of Steve Martin, and played “Officer Judy” in the show. He made appearance in some other TV shows as well. He played “Super Dave Osborne” in ‘The John Byner Comedy Hour’, acted in ‘Bizarre’, acted as “Larry Mittleman” in ‘Arrested Development’ and also acted in ‘Mister Roger’s Neighborhood‘. He made frequent guest appearances for ‘Late Night with David Letterman’. He has to his credit his own shows like ‘Super Dave‘ and animated series ‘Super Dave: Daredevil for Hire‘. He was also seen in ‘Ocean’s Thirteen‘, ‘Crank Yankers‘ and in ‘The Man Show‘. He appears in ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ in the recurring role of “Marty Funkhouser“. Bob Einstein has won the Cable Ace Award in 1992 in the category of Actor in a Comedy Series for ‘Super Dave’, and an Emmy Award in 1997 in the category - Outstanding Comedy-Variety or Music Series for ‘Van Dyke and Company‘. He has also won the Emmy Award in 1969 for Outstanding Writing Achievement in Comedy, Variety or Music for “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour“. He was nominated for the four Emmy Awards under various categories for ‘The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour” and “Van Dyke and Company” from 1972 to 1977.
