Curb Your Enthusiasm seasons are American comedy created by Larry David and written by Larry David. Its regular theme music has been composed by Luciano Michelini and opening theme by “Frolic”.
Larry David, Jeff Garlin, Gavin Polone and Robert B. Weide have produced the show in single camera setup. Originally it has been broadcast on HBO channel. Curb Your Enthusiasm season 1 was premiered on 15th October, 2000.
Curb Your Enthusiasm seasons are based on the real lives of stars in a fictional version in which Larry David and his friends play main roles. Larry shares his true experiences as a TV producer.
Sometimes the show includes his present working life as a semi-retired producer. His fictional characteristics include commenting on people, strange behavior, irritating his friends and neighbors. Larry creates tension with people he deal and is very unwilling to follow socially accepted nodes. To make the show really look real it is shot in David’s real place of residence, Santa Monica. Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen, Wanda Sykes and Richard Lewis are his fast friends in actual life and play regular roles in the show. Though all of them are appearing regularly since their first entry, they are shown hurt by Larry’s foul and harsh words.
Jeff Greene, known for “What the fuck?” dialogue, which he usually say when a situation gets out of his control, is Larry’s manager and friend. He is crazy about pornography. His daughter doesn’t like him much and he is going through some marital problems also. His wife, Susie Greene, thinks Larry to be responsible for her not-so-good relation with Jeff and always remain in high disposition.
Richard Lewis always complain and holds Larry responsible for all wrongs in his life though he is his oldest friend and moved to Los Angeles with him. He is pursuing career as a stand-up comedian.
Marty Funkhouser always try to convince Larry that he is his best friend but Larry always argues with him on this and many other topics. His sister, Bam Bam, remains mentally upset and daughter is a lesbian. He involves his whole family when take major decisions but wants to take full credit by himself.
Cheryl David is Larry’s wife and always complains about Larry’s unusual behavior. Most of the show is about Larry’s fictional social encounter and his way of life.
